As part of our ongoing effort to digitize our film archives, we have recently uncovered a set of photos taken 50 years ago during this week in May of 1974. The photos include images of children showcasing their work at a science fair. One girl has won fourth place, while another appears to have won first place, as she proudly holds up a commemorative plaque. We are interested in learning more about the individuals and groups captured in these photos.
In addition to the science fair photos, there are images of Boy Scouts from Georgia constructing a miniature log house. Some onlookers can be seen peering out of a building’s window, observing the scouts at work. In other photos, a scout makes silly faces and sticks his tongue out. We would love to hear your stories about participating in or watching these events as they unfolded 50 years ago.
