Top 4 Riders in the World Competing in Defender Kentucky CCI5*-L

This year’s Defender Kentucky CCI5*-L has attracted a diverse group of competitors, with many five-star regulars vying for the top prize. Among them are Oliver Townend, Ros Canter, Boyd Martin, and Tom McEwen, all of whom are currently ranked in the FEI World Rankings. A total of 47 horse-and-rider combinations will be competing in the event, which takes place from April 24-28 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

Several pairs have also entered the Badminton CCI5*-L, which will be held from May 8-12 in England. These include Oliver Townend with Cooley Rosalent, Grace Taylor with Game Changer, Meghan O’Donoghue with Palm Crescent, Boyd Martin with Tsetserleg TSF and On Cue, Kirsty Chabert with Classic VI, Ros Canter with Izilot DHI, and Jessica Phoenix with Wabbit.

While several pairs that won last year’s Defender Kentucky CCI5*-L will not be back this year to defend their title, many other talented riders and horses are eager to take on the challenge.
