Forensic Scientist Alyshia Meyers spoke at the Portage Public Library this afternoon, sharing her knowledge and passion for forensics science with a captivated audience. The event, called All About Forensics Science, was part of the Library’s Community STEM Cafe and attracted a handful of families.
With seven years of experience in the field, Meyers emphasized the importance of sparking children’s interest in science at a young age. She explained that by doing so, they are setting themselves up for success in the future. Meyers shared her expertise and experiences with the audience, providing an educational experience that was both informative and engaging.
The event was made possible by a mini grant from the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8, which allowed residents in Cambria County to learn more about forensic science. Overall, it was an excellent opportunity for families and individuals to expand their understanding of this fascinating field and its significance in today’s society.
