Bill Belichick, the former coach of the New England Patriots, will be taking part in a roast of Tom Brady on Sunday night. Joining him will be other former teammates and players including Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, Drew Bledsoe, and Rob Gronkowski.
The roast is expected to be a live event from Los Angeles, with plenty of material for participants to poke fun at each other. However, it remains to be seen how far they will go as roasts can sometimes get personal and raunchy.
While roasts are typically better when professional comedians are involved as they can write and deliver jokes effectively, football players may struggle to sell their lines even with help from others. Despite any difficulties, this particular roast involving Gronkowski is expected to air unlike a previous one in 2017 that he disrupted with questionable content.
