Mental Health Ride showcased at vendor village during national competition at Copper

Pippa Scott, a former Frisco resident, is set to compete in a snowboard slopestyle competition at USASA Nationals at Copper Mountain from March 29th to April 3rd. Alongside her competitive endeavors, she will also be showcasing the work of Ride for Mental Health in the vendor village.

Ride for Mental Health is an organization that aims to promote open and supportive conversations about teen suicide within the snowsports community. They provide resources and education to athletes, parents, and coaches to help them recognize and manage the struggles associated with competitive sports. The organization’s ultimate goal is to remove the stigma surrounding mental health challenges by encouraging individuals to share their experiences with compassion and empathy.

Through fundraising, workshops, and seminars, Ride for Mental Health prioritizes engaging the community and educating athletes, parents, and coaches. By empowering individuals to navigate mental health issues more effectively, they hope to create a supportive environment for all members of the snowsports community.

As founder of Ride for Mental Health, Pippa Scott emphasizes the importance of vulnerability in creating impact and change within the community. She believes that being open with friends is just as important as achieving success in competitions and encourages others to foster a culture of openness and support.
