Owner Brendreka Leach described how lightning struck a tree nearby, causing the branch to hit the building and windows.
The damage has had a negative impact on Leach’s business, resulting in a significant loss. She expressed frustration about not being able to seek leniency from utility companies due to the decrease in children attending the center as a result of the damage. However, members of the community are now volunteering their time to help Leach clean up the debris and make minor repairs to the building.
