From May 6th to 8th, a Celebration of Modern Agriculture took place near the US Department of Agriculture headquarters on the south side of the National Mall in Washington, DC. The event brought together representatives from leading wheat and wheat foods groups to showcase the latest advancements in agricultural technology used by growers, ranchers, equipment makers, and input suppliers.
In attendance were Bill Dumais from the American Bakers Association, Jane DeMarchi from the North American Millers’ Association, Chandler Goule from the National Association of Wheat Growers, Jake Westin from NAWG, and Catherine Miller from US Wheat Associates. These representatives came together to promote the benefits of wheat and wheat foods in our agricultural industry.
The gathering at the National Mall highlighted the importance of these products and their role in feeding the nation. By sharing their knowledge and expertise, they hoped to raise awareness about the vital contributions of wheat growers and food producers to our society. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about innovative methods and tools being used in modern agriculture to improve efficiency and sustainability.
Didier Rosada, a master baker with Uptown Bakers in Hyattsville, Maryland, showcased his skills by baking bread on display at the event. His creations were a testament to the versatility and quality of wheat products in modern agriculture.
