Sols 4166-4167: The Rocky Garden

April in Toronto is a typical month where the weather can’t seem to make up its mind about transitioning into spring. Meanwhile, on Mars in Gale Crater, it’s well into the spring season and Curiosity rover is enjoying the relatively warmer weather. With longer days and warmer temperatures, I find myself full of energy, eager to go outside and work in my garden.

Curiosity also seems to be feeling the same way as we have been receiving plenty of power lately, allowing for more activities in its own version of a garden, although it may not be as green as mine. The touch-and-go plan for today provides Curiosity with the opportunity to explore and investigate its surroundings. Just like me, Curiosity is excited to venture out and gather data in its unique Martian garden.

Despite the differences in our environments, both of us are eager to make the most of the season and enjoy the warmer weather. As I tend to my garden here on Earth, Curiosity continues its mission on Mars, uncovering the mysteries of the Red Planet. With each passing day, we are getting closer to discovering what lies beneath the surface of this fascinating planet.
