Bailey leaves game against Phillies due to vision problems

On Friday, during the Giants’ game against the Philadelphia Phillies, catcher Patrick Bailey had to leave the game in the second inning due to blurry vision. The injury occurred after Bailey was hit by a foul ball off the bat of Phillies’ Alec Bohm in the first inning. Currently, Bailey is undergoing evaluation for the issue.

Following his departure, veteran catcher Tom Murphy substituted Bailey. In his only plate appearance of the game, Bailey had walked and scored a run before exiting. The Giants are closely monitoring Bailey’s condition as they await further updates on his status.
