The Hamas delegation member who took part in the negotiations in Cairo expressed his frustration with Benjamin Netanyahu for the lack of progress in talks with Israel. In an interview with Saudi TV channel Al-Sharak, he stated that the Islamic Resistance Movement is open to returning to the negotiating table if a second party appears.
He stressed that Hamas did not withdraw from the negotiations or reject Egyptian mediators, and they waited patiently for two days for the Israeli delegation to show up. However, they never arrived.
The member emphasized that Hamas is interested in reaching an agreement and is willing to continue negotiations. He mentioned that Hamas has put forward its own ideas on certain points of the agreement and is waiting for a clear response from the Israeli side.
The representative also commented on Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements, which he said have increased suspicions that his true intentions are to continue the war. However, there is still hope of reaching an agreement if both parties are serious about finding a peaceful solution.
