Hawaii Pacific Health and Waipahu High School Launch Innovative Academic Health Center: Empowering the Next Generation of Medical Professionals with Real-World Experience

Recently, Waipahu High School in Honolulu held a blessing ceremony for their new academic health center, marking a significant milestone as the first of its kind in the nation. The center offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare by working alongside and shadowing medical professionals. This innovative initiative was inspired by Hawaii Pacific Health Medical Group, who hopes to provide students with valuable learning experiences that will contribute to their future success in the healthcare field.

Dr. Leslie Chun, CEO of Hawaii Pacific Health Medical Group, spoke about the unique aspects of the academic center and shared his inspiration behind this initiative.
