The Black Bears have had a successful season so far and are already surpassing last year’s win total.
Yarmouth senior Sam Lowenstein showed his emotion after leading Greely to a 1-0 victory in their game last week. His passion for the game was evident in the hard-fought win.
The St. Dominic softball team also had an exciting comeback victory over Mountain Valley last week. A seven-run fourth inning helped them turn things around and secure a dramatic victory over their rivals. Catcher Emily Andrews and pitcher Maddie Andrews both reflected on the game afterward, praising their team’s resilience and determination to come back from behind.
In baseball news, there was a significant upset when Cony snapped Monmouth Academy’s 21-game winning streak with a 15-8 victory last week. Trenton Hayward, who had two hits in the game, called it “a sweet victory” for his team, which has been struggling lately but managed to pull off this impressive upset against one of the top teams in the region.”
