Enabled Intelligence is an AI technology company that is dedicated to providing data solutions for the U.S. defense and intelligence community. They have announced plans to recruit 100 AI data annotators who are also neurodiverse, such as those on the Autism Spectrum or with ADHD and Dyslexia. The company’s CEO, Peter Kant, highlights that the work requires skills such as detail-orientation, hyper-focus, pattern recognition, puzzle-solving, and analytical skills – all of which many neurodiverse individuals excel in.
Melwood, a nonprofit organization that provides jobs and opportunities for people with disabilities, has partnered with Enabled Intelligence to prepare workers through a 14-week boot camp program. Graduates like Cody Hart emphasize the importance of gaining IT certifications and developing soft skills necessary for working in a professional environment while also providing access to fulfilling career opportunities with growth potential.
Recently, three Virginia Democrats – Congressman Don Beyer, Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner – visited Enabled Intelligence to offer support for Melwood’s Neurodivergent Workforce Initiative which received $307,000 in federal funding. This initiative aims to create job opportunities for individuals with disabilities by leveraging their unique strengths and abilities in the field of AI technology. Cody expresses his gratitude towards these individuals and organizations for supporting him on his journey towards finding meaningful employment at Enabled Intelligence.
