Pant, Dube, and Samson included in India’s T20 World Cup squad

In preparation for the 2024 T20 World Cup, the Indian cricket team has announced its 15-man squad, led by Rohit Sharma. The team includes some exciting new additions such as Shivam Dube, Rishabh Pant, and Sanju Samson.

Legspinner Yuzvendra Chahal has made a comeback to the squad based on his impressive form in the IPL. He joins other spin options such as Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel. The pace attack includes specialists like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Arshdeep Singh. Hardik Pandya and Dube provide seam-bowling options.

Rohit and Virat Kohli did not play any T20 internationals after the 2022 T20 World Cup until they were selected for the series at home against Afghanistan in January 2024. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been chosen as Rohit’s opening partner, while Shubman Gill is among the four reserve players along with Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, and Avesh Khan.
