Yasir Anwar appointed as Chief Technology Officer by Inspire Brands

Inspire Brands, the parent company of several well-known restaurant brands, has appointed Yasir Anwar as its chief technology officer. Anwar has a proven track record in building in-house and agile technology teams, having previously held leadership positions at Walmart, Wells Fargo, Macy’s, and Williams-Sonoma.

In a statement announcing his appointment, Paul Brown, co-founder and CEO of Inspire Brands, emphasized the company’s commitment to developing shared technology capabilities for its renowned brands. Anwar will oversee various teams, including product engineering, data engineering, technology operations, architecture, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and infrastructure and development operations.

Anwar expressed his excitement about joining Inspire Brands and contributing to the organization’s technology strategy while working with iconic brands. He officially joined the company on May 6 and reports directly to Paul Brown as well as serving on the management committee.

Inspire Brands is the parent company of Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic Drive-In, Jimmy John’s, Dunkin’, and Baskin Robbins.
