Jill Krausman and the team at The Landmark Bistro in Grundy Center have been recognized as the Small Business of the Week by U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee. Since its founding in 2015, The Landmark Bistro has become a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, known for its delicious local food, inviting atmosphere, and top-notch service.
Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties. The Landmark Bistro is just one of many exceptional small businesses that call Iowa home and deserve recognition for their contributions to the state’s economy and communities.
Jill founded The Landmark Bistro with the goal of creating a community gathering space and quality restaurant in Grundy Center. The restaurant offers salads, burgers, and sandwiches for both dine-in and takeout options. It pays homage to the Grundy Center community through its design and décor and gives back by partnering with other local businesses and entrepreneurs. Jill was recognized as one of the 40 Women to Watch in the Hospitality Industry by the Iowa Restaurant Association, and The Landmark Bistro was featured on the 99 Counties, 99 Restaurants list by Travel Iowa. This year, the restaurant will celebrate its ninth business anniversary.
