The Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, met with Dr. Thani Al-Zeyoudi, the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, who visited Kuwait with a delegation to participate in the “Emirati Companies Exhibition and Forum” to explore opportunities in the Kuwaiti market. The meeting, attended by Dr. Matar Hamid Al Neyadi, the UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, focused on enhancing trade and investment relations between the two countries.
Dr. Thani Al-Zeyoudi emphasized the strong and sustainable strategic partnership between the UAE and Kuwait, with economic, trade, and investment relations at its core. He highlighted the mutual commitment of the leadership of both countries to advance these relations for the benefit of their people.
The exhibition and forum brought together 20 of the largest Emirati companies in various sectors to showcase their products and services in the Kuwaiti market. The event included presentations on investment opportunities, trade facilitation, and partnership prospects for businesses in both countries.
The longstanding trade relations between the UAE and Kuwait have continued to grow, with non-oil trade reaching 45 billion dirhams in 2023. The UAE is the second-largest trading partner of Kuwait globally, reflecting the strong economic ties and collaboration between the two countries.
The UAE delegation engaged in discussions with Kuwaiti officials to explore ways to strengthen the strategic partnership and promote mutual growth and prosperity. The participants exchanged ideas on enhancing economic cooperation and investment opportunities between the two countries.
