LATAM Reveals Redesigned Dreamliner Economy Cabin

LATAM Group is revolutionizing its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with a new Economy cabin design, investing US$60 million in total to enhance the onboard experience for passengers. One of the key upgrades includes a new onboard entertainment system that allows Economy class passengers to connect their personal headphones via Bluetooth and enjoy a wide variety of content on 12-inch high-definition touchscreens. This includes over 170 movies, 550 TV show episodes, 100 music albums, and exclusive content from popular platforms like HBO Max, Paramount+, and Disney+.

In addition to this, LATAM Group has introduced Panasonic’s Arc™ interactive 3D map, which provides passengers with detailed information about landmarks and streets from the air. This allows them to explore iconic places in different cities during their flight. The new cabin design will be introduced on four aircraft this year.

The redesigned cabin also features seat upholstery made with 57% recycled leather, reducing carbon emissions by up to 60% and saving water and land use by up to 55%. This sustainable material production is another step towards eco-friendliness, as all narrow-body aircraft in the LATAM group fleet already include this eco-friendly material. Additionally, the cabin offers headrests, a 6-inch recline, and a renewed onboard entertainment system with 12-inch screens.

Economy passengers can travel even more comfortably in LATAM+ seats that provide extra legroom, more recline, exclusive luggage space, and priority boarding and disembarkation. These enhancements reflect the unique spirit and pride of South America and further improve the overall flying experience for LATAM passengers.
