The Sports Media Certificate Program at Cal State Fullerton is taking strides in sports media education with a unique opportunity for students to report live from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Led by Gayle Jansen Brisbane, an assistant professor of communications at CSUF, and Bob Young from Arizona State University, this program offers hands-on experiences that will enhance students’ resumes and improve their skills as future sports media professionals.
With a dual focus on sports journalism and writing, participants will develop a well-rounded skill set that will distinguish them in the competitive sports media field. This program offers a unique chance for students to broaden their perspectives and refine their abilities in sports media education.
In order to make this opportunity accessible to all students, the program is seeking donations to support underrepresented students. For more information or to contribute to this program, please reach out to Courtney Lutkus at clutkus@fullerton.edu.
Overall, the Sports Media Certificate Program at Cal State Fullerton is setting the stage for students to excel in the evolving world of sports media, providing them with valuable experiences and skills that will benefit them in their careers.
