Get ready for a thrilling weekend of Pokémon battles as players from around the world gather in London for the 2023 Pokémon World Championships. The event will take place at ExCeL London and feature competitions in the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games, and Pokémon GO and Pokémon UNITE.
Players will have the chance to win Championship Points, as well as a prize pool worth thousands of dollars shared across all competitions. The championships will be live-streamed on Twitch, with commentators like Alex Dao, Chip Richey, Ethan Hegyi, Freya Pearce, and Mike Ellis providing expert commentary.
The schedule for the event is as follows: on Friday, April 5th from 10:00 to 23:00 Italian time for the TCG competition; on Saturday, April 6th from 10:00 to 23:00 Italian time for both TCG and video games; and on Sunday, April 7th with finals starting at 12 pm ET on Twitch.tv/Pokemon for TCG.
For video games, the schedule includes Scarlet and Violet from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 23:59 Italian time each day, with finals starting at different times each day. For GO and UNITE, respectively, they will be streamed from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to midnight Italian time each day with finals kicking off at different times each day on their respective channels (Twitchtv/Pokemon).
