Truck crashes into physical therapy business in Redford Township

In Redford Township, Michigan, a truck crashed into Athletico Physical, causing significant damage to the building. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Witnesses claimed that the truck was speeding down Telegraph Road before it lost control and collided with a power pole before slamming into the building.

Douglas Wilson and his friends were nearby when they heard the crash and managed to avoid being hit by the truck. They credited the sound of the crash for alerting them to run to safety. Paris Edwards, who was inside the building at the time of the crash, described hearing a loud noise before seeing the truck smash into the building. She and her colleagues managed to stay away from harm by being on the opposite side of the building.

The driver attempted to flee but was instructed by an employee to remain in place until police arrived. It is unclear whether he was taken to a hospital or arrested. The road was closed temporarily for DTE crews to remove the damaged power pole, but has since reopened. Athletico Physical in Redford Township will remain closed temporarily while authorities investigate the incident further.
