Mark Morrison, an outdoor enthusiast, highlighted the importance of the new conservation area in providing natural spaces for families to enjoy and spend time together. The project was made possible through collaboration between Windham leaders and the Presumpscot Regional Land Trust with support from the “Land for Maine’s Future” fund. As one of the largest conservation areas in southern Maine, this expansive natural space is expected to be enjoyed by many for years to come.
