Nearly 30 Erie-area employers participate in health-care job fair hosted by LECOM

The Biden Administration has recently implemented new regulations for federally funded nursing homes in an effort to improve the quality of care provided. Vice President Kamala Harris made the announcement about the new rules, which will affect nursing facilities and home health care companies.

On the other hand, representatives from Erie’s three largest health systems are set to participate in a healthcare job fair on Monday. The Healthcare Career Expo will take place at the Bayfront Convention Center from 2-7 p.m., showcasing various careers in the field. The event is organized by the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and will include UPMC Hamot and Saint Vincent Hospital, along with around 30 other local healthcare employers.

The job fair will feature discussions on available healthcare positions in Erie, including opportunities for licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, therapists, dietitians, radiology technicians, counselors, and social workers. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to speak with professionals about finance, real estate, and insurance. The job fair is free to attend and will offer refreshments and raffles for participants.
