Corey Anderson, former New Zealand fast bowler, selected for USA squad in 2024 T20 World Cup

New Zealand cricket veteran, Corey Anderson, has been named in the USA squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup. The tournament is set to be co-hosted by the USA and the West Indies in June. Along with Anderson, Ali Khan and Shayan Jahangir have also been selected for the squad. Gajanand Singh and Usman Rafiq were left out of the squad.

Ali Khan, known for his experience playing in T20 leagues around the world, brings a wealth of knowledge to the squad. He has played in various leagues but has limited international experience. Shayan Jahangir, who began his career in Pakistan, has represented USA in ODIs before.

Milind Kumar, a former Delhi batter and top run-scorer in India’s Ranji Trophy, is also part of the squad. Monank Patel and Aaron Jones have been retained as captain and vice-captain respectively after leading the team to a series win against Canada. The squad will kick off their campaign with a match against Canada in Dallas on June 1st.
