Newell’s upsets Talleres to win the Professional Virtual Soccer eLiga Cup

On Sunday, April 28, the grand final of the eLPF VISA 2024 took place, with four intense matches featuring some of the best virtual football players in Argentina. Ezequiel Correa of Newell’s emerged as the champion by defeating Lautaro Carletti of Workshops with a score of 8-6 in the final match.

In the semi-finals, Correa defeated Cristian Giménez of Belgrano with a score of 8-3, showcasing his experience and skill in virtual football. Lautaro Carletti secured victory against Facundo Cowen of Argentinos Juniors with a score of 7-5.

In the third-place playoff match, Belgrano and Argentinos Juniors battled it out, with Giménez emerging victorious over Cowen with a score of 9-7. The grand final featured Newell’s (Correa) and Talleres (Carletti). Despite a close contest, Correa emerged as the winner with a score of 8-6 in the aggregate result of two games.

Following his victory, Ezequiel Correa expressed his happiness and dedicated the win to his father. He is now set to represent Argentina in the upcoming FC Pro World Championship, where he will face some of the best players from around the world.
