Francois Hardy Named Chief Technology Officer of Newmont (NYSE:NEM)

Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM) recently appointed Francois Hardy as its new chief technology officer, replacing interim CTO Dean Gehring. Gehring, who also served as Newmont’s chief integration officer, will be leaving the company in early July after a period of transition.

Francois Hardy brings over 30 years of technical and operational experience in the mining industry to his new role. He has been with the company since 2002 and has held various positions including group head of exploration, managing director of Africa, and general manager of Tanami.

The appointment of Hardy as CTO reflects Newmont’s commitment to leveraging technology and innovation in its operations. This move also signals a strategic shift in the company’s leadership structure as it continues to drive growth and efficiency in its mining activities.
