The Diversity Excellence Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to DEIB causes within Pamplin. In 2024, Management student Meena Zaheen was honored with the latest recipient of this award, while Andrea Amihere, also from the Management program, received an honorable mention.
The Deans Advisory Board of Students (DABS) is a group of 20-25 students selected to work with Dean Saonee Sarker to advise and represent the business school. The goal of DABS is to create a more inclusive environment within Pamplin so that all students can thrive. In 2024, Hudson Aikins, a Management student, and Mariam Farzayee, an Accounting and Information Systems student were recognized as the President Recognition for the DABS.
First Honors Graduates are recognized for achieving a 4.0 GPA at Virginia Tech. In 2024, nine students from Pamplin achieved this exceptional mark: Rahul Bhatt in Management, Jonathan Braun in Finance and Real Estate, Anne Deegan in BIT and Management, Charli Dietz in ACIS, Alexandra Evan in BIT and Management, Rhea Nair in Management, Logan Rawlings in Finance, Dylan Recardo in Finance, and Samiksha Sarda in Management.
