Meeting Between Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott’s Representative Reported

In a recent development, the Dallas Cowboys have opened talks with Ezekiel Elliott’s agent, according to a report by CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson. Previously, ESPN had reported that both parties were interested in the possibility of reunion. The departure of veteran running back Tony Pollard, who signed with the Titans in free agency, has provided an opportunity for Elliott to return to the team.

Ezekiel Elliott was selected fourth overall in the 2016 NFL draft and spent seven seasons with the Cowboys before becoming a free agent in 2023. During his time with the Cowboys, he earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors and had his best season as a rookie when he rushed for 1,631 yards and scored 16 total touchdowns. However, his performance declined in recent years, with only one 1,000-yard season since 2019. Despite this, fans are excited about the possibility of Elliott returning to the team and rekindling his success on the field.
