Good Morning Truckee, a community forum held on the third Tuesday of every month, is a must-attend event for those interested in learning more about forest health and land access. The upcoming May event will feature presentations from esteemed speakers actively shaping Truckee’s forests’ future.
Speakers include John Svahn from Truckee Donner Land Trust, Jonathon Fisher from the National Forest Service, and Stacey Caldwell from the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation’s Forest Futures program. These experts will share their insights and knowledge on forest management and conservation, providing attendees with valuable information that can be applied to their daily lives.
The event is open to the public and will take place at Truckee Town Hall from 7:45-9:15 a.m. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m., with the program starting promptly at 8 a.m. Ticket prices are $10 for Truckee Chamber members and $15 for non-members, which includes a continental breakfast and coffee donated by Mountain Brew. In 2024, attendees are encouraged to bring a business card for a chance to win a door prize.
