Get your TRICARE questions answered at the May 23 webinar for retirees

Retirement is an important milestone for many individuals, including those who have served in the active duty, National Guard or Reserve. As you approach retirement, it’s important to understand your health coverage options and how to maintain them. TRICARE is hosting a webinar on May 23 from 4 to 5 p.m. ET to help guide you through the process of keeping your TRICARE coverage in retirement.

During this webinar, titled “TRICARE Options in Retirement,” you’ll learn about the different health plans available to you and how to keep your coverage when you retire. You’ll also discover new options for dental and vision coverage. TRICARE experts will be available to answer any questions you may have about these changes.

According to Zelly Zim, a senior analyst with TRICARE Policy and Programs at the Defense Health Agency, “Knowing what to do to keep your TRICARE coverage when you retire is important.” This webinar will provide valuable information on what steps you need to take and when, so that you don’t experience any gap in healthcare coverage during this transition period.

If you are retiring from active duty or the National Guard or Reserve at age 60, these events are considered Qualifying Life Events (QLEs) by TRICARE. When a QLE occurs, you have 90 days to make any changes in your enrollment of TRICARE health plan. It is essential that you take advantage of this timeframe and attend this webinar so that you can make informed decisions about your future health coverage options.

By attending this webinar on May 23rd, you can gain valuable knowledge about how to maintain your benefits for years to come as well as get updates on latest news from TRICARE Subscriptions by visiting their website and creating a personalized profile.
