CompTIA Introduces New AI Essentials and Expansion Series for Campus Technology

CompTIA Announces New AI Learning and Certification Programs

CompTIA has recently launched its new learning and certification programs, the Essentials and Expansion series, designed to enhance and maintain AI skills. These programs focus on AI skills competencies in four tech career areas and roles: software development, cybersecurity, systems operations (SysOps), and data analytics, as well as two job roles: prompt engineering and AI systems architecture.

The Essentials Series is set to be released in July 2024 and is applicable to any occupation, including both tech-specific positions and adjacent occupations that rely on technology. This program will cover the basics of AI, available tools for using it, best practices for implementing them, challenges associated with AI usage, the benefits of using AI for creativity and productivity enhancement, and the future implications of AI.

On the other hand, the Expansion Series goes beyond the basics by focusing on advanced skills and technology developments in specific job roles for those with a CompTIA Plus (+) or Pro certification in areas such as security engineering, penetration testing, security analysis, data analysis, SysOps, tech support, AI systems architecture
