Yannis Veslemes has secured world sales for his science-fiction drama “She Loved Blossoms More,” which will be premiering at the Tribeca Festival in the “Escape From Tribeca” section. The film is a family drama with a science fiction twist, exploring themes of defeat, curses, morality, and family dynamics.
Three brothers attempt to bring their long-dead mother back to life by building an unusual time-machine. However, their delusional father’s interference leads to experiments gone wrong, plunging them into a psychedelic hellscape where past and present realities merge in a disturbing yet comedic exploration of grief.
Yellow Veil Pictures’ Hugues Barbier praised Yannis’ vision and the talented team behind the film, calling it an emotional thrill ride and a testament to an exciting new filmmaker’s potential. The film’s production is led by Fenia Cossovitsa, with executive producers Christos V. Konstantakopoulos, Ant Timpson, and Andreas Zoupanos Kritikos, along with co-producer Alexis Perrin.
The project is supported by the Greek Film Centre, ERT, and EKOME, highlighting the collaborative effort behind this innovative and thought-provoking film.
