Sesotec and KRS Recycling introduce innovative sorting technology

Sesotec will showcase the VARISORT+ FILM film sorter at IFAT 2024, a modular system that is part of the VARISORT+ family of machines. The new sorter includes a laminar air flow feature that helps to convey flexible packaging and films efficiently. The materials are stabilized within the system, allowing for accurate identification and sorting. The separator housing is aerodynamically designed to prevent air turbulence, ensuring effective sorting.

Sesotec engineers have integrated artificial intelligence into the sorting systems, with innovative evaluation methods like “OBJECT-AI” that can detect impurities in the material flow and sort them out using blow nozzles. The use of “NIR-AI” allows for precise differentiation between different polymers.

KRS Recycling Systems will also be showcasing the SPEKTRUM+ glass sorting system at the trade fair stand. This system is equipped with a new C-C sensor system that can better differentiate between black or dark glass and CSP (ceramic/stone/porcelain). The system includes a special illumination plus sensor system (new C-C sensor) to prevent dark glass from being mistakenly sorted out with impurities like ceramics, stones, or porcelain.
