Science Saturday on April 20: Revitalizing the Planet by Nurturing Your Inner Wildness

Gavin Shwahla, a storyteller, filmmaker, and conservationist, will be the featured speaker at this weekend’s Science Saturday event. The event is presented by the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences and will take place on Zoom at 11 a.m.

With just a few more Science Saturdays remaining in the series before it wraps up for the spring, attendees are encouraged to register for upcoming talks on April 20 and 27. Shwahla’s talk will focus on “rewilding the planet through rewilding your soul.”

Shwahla’s career journey has taken him from biologist to filmmaker and photographer. He will share his personal journey overcoming fear and anxiety to live authentically, and provide examples of how inner healing can have positive effects on the world around us. Attendees can expect to see nature in a deeper way, remember the beauty of life, and discover the power they have to create the world they want to live in through rewilding their soul.

All Science Saturday sessions begin at 11 a.m. and are free to attend. The LBIF has set a cap of 95 participants for each session, whether virtual or in-person. To attend, simply register at lbifoundation.org/science or through email notifications from LBIF sent to subscribers.
