One success story that has emerged from this collaboration is Katy Learned, a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant at Riverview Health. Although she started her career as a receptionist with a background in business, she always had a passion for patient care. The pandemic further fueled this passion, leading her to pursue a medical assistance license through the opportunities provided by Riverview and Ivy Tech.

According to Rachel Kartz, Chancellor of Ivy Tech Hamilton County Campus, such partnerships are crucial in filling job shortages not only in Indiana but across the nation. By supporting students and equipping the workforce with the necessary skills, they aim to bridge the gap between supply and demand for healthcare workers.
