Ronald Acuna Jr. of the Atlanta Braves to join Rimas Sports as a signee

Braves RF Ronald Acuna Jr. is expected to sign with Rimas Sports, an agency led by artist Bad Bunny, to handle his marketing and off-field business. However, the agency is facing disciplinary actions from the MLBPA due to a revocation of agent William Arroyo’s license and two other employees pending certification. This leaves the agency with just one certified agent, Michael Velazquez, raising concerns about its long-term viability in baseball.

Acuna had previously worked with Xample for his marketing and branding, but they are not listed as his agent at the MLBPA. His previous representation was Peter E. Greenberg and Associates, who negotiated his contract extension before being acquired by Rep 1 Baseball in February 2020. Acuna has not yet signed with Rimas as an agent but said it was likely to occur when asked about it. The exact reason for Rimas’ disciplinary action from the MLBPA is unknown at this time.
