Online School Partnership between Palantir and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has partnered with Palantir to provide safe access to schools for 300,000 more pupils. An agreement has been signed between the two parties with the goal of improving the education system in Ukraine and ensuring that as many children as possible can attend school safely.

The new software tooling developed by Palantir will help in targeting funding for school bomb shelters where it will have the greatest impact on the safety of children and young people. This initiative is a response to the rise in online education in Ukraine following Russia’s illegal invasion. Research shows that more than 40% of children in Ukraine are now relying on online or hybrid learning, leading to educational setbacks. According to the PISA-2022 survey, Ukrainian students are lagging behind the required level of study by 1.5 to 2.5 years.

This partnership aims to address these challenges and ensure that more children have access to safe in-person learning. By leveraging new technology, the goal is to improve the education system in Ukraine and help students catch up on the lost learning due to the ongoing conflict. The ultimate aim is to create a better future for the next generation of Ukrainian students.
