The search for Arian, a 6-year-old boy with autism in Germany, has been ongoing for a week. On Sunday, around 1,200 people participated in the search in Bremervörde. Despite extensive efforts to locate Arian, there is no evidence of foul play or a possible wolf attack.
Arian left his parents’ home last Monday and has been missing since then. Police have stated that Arian is non-verbal and may not react if called. The operational strategy of the search has been coordinated with an autism expert.
Search teams have been combing through impassable terrain tirelessly, but a large part of the forces will now take a break, according to a police spokeswoman. On Sunday, a coordinated human chain of about 800 people was formed, spanning 1,500 meters, systematically searching every corner. Footprints believed to be Arian’s were found in the area, but it was later discovered that they belonged to someone else.
Police efforts have included officers on horses inspecting canals, drones searching the area, and avoiding making noise in the hopes that Arian will come out of hiding. Various methods have been employed to attract Arian, such as playing loud music and setting off fireworks. The search has covered a wide area, including the river Oste.
Despite the extensive search and various methods employed to attract him back home safely, Arian remains missing and authorities continue their efforts to locate him as soon as possible.
