The World Championships are just around the corner and Ottawa Senators fans should be excited to see their team represented at the tournament. Three players from the Senators will be suiting up for Team USA: Brady Tkachuk, Jake Sanderson, and Shane Pinto.
Tkachuk is a veteran of international hockey for Team USA, having played in the U-17 World Hockey Challenge, captained the team at the U-18 World Junior Championships, and won bronze at the World Junior Championships. In 19 international games, he has accumulated an impressive 21 points.
Sanderson is also no stranger to representing Team USA on the international stage. He has played in four international tournaments for his country, including the U-17 World Hockey Challenge, winning gold at the World Juniors, and appearing in one game at the Olympics in 2022.
Pinto will be making his second appearance for Team USA after scoring seven points in five games at the 2020 World Juniors. He is eager to get back on that ice and represent his country once again.
In addition to these players, two Senators representatives will be part of the coaching staff for Team USA. Jack Capuano will be an Assistant Coach for his fifth time with previous experience coaching at various international tournaments. Mike King will be returning as Video Coach for his fourth straight appearance at the World Championships.
