May possibly 25, 2023 — Thursday morning, the St. Lawrence County public overall health division stated in a statement that eight overdoses had occurred in the preceding 24-hour period. One particular of these overdoses was fatal.

The public overall health division stressed that any drug could be laced with a deadly quantity of fentanyl or xylazine. Some of the overdoses this week involved cocaine laced with fentanyl and marijuana laced with fentanyl.

The anti-opioid drug Narcan was employed to save some of the men and women who overdosed. Various necessary many Narcan doses, which are usually essential when drugs have been mixed.
