University of Houston Prepares to Ditch NFL, Embrace Columbia Blue

The University of Houston has decided to defy the NFL and the Tennessee Titans by adopting an alternate Columbia Blue color scheme, despite being discouraged from doing so last year. Athletic director Chris Pezman made the announcement to the media, stating that after careful review of all aspects of the situation, the school has made a final decision to proceed with the alternate color scheme.

The university has notified the NFL of their intention to use the alternate color scheme, but as of now, there has been no response from the league. Pezman mentioned that they are giving the NFL a few weeks to respond before taking any further action. The university believes that they have a solid reasoning behind their decision and are prepared to defend their position.

Pezman explained that they have evidence showing that the city uses the alternate color scheme, making their decision justifiable. The university’s close proximity to the Texans, who recently introduced a uniform with a similar color, also supports their case. It is unlikely that anyone would have intellectual property rights over a color, and it would not reflect well on the NFL if they were to take legal action against the University of Houston over this matter.
