Oklahoma City Thunder ended their four-year drought of not making it to the playoffs by winning the first round of the Western Conference postseason against New Orleans Pelicans. After a nail-biting game on Monday night, OKC emerged victorious with a score of 97-89, thanks to key three-point shots from Josh Giddey and Jalen Williams in the final quarter.

Leading the way for OKC were Jalen Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) with 24 points each. The Thunder had been struggling in recent years, but they managed to pull off this impressive win against the Pelicans.

The next round of playoffs will see Oklahoma City face off against either the Dallas Mavericks or the LA Clippers, depending on who wins their current series. Game five of that series is set for Wednesday in LA. The Thunder are eager to continue their momentum and make a deep run into the playoffs after this hard-fought victory over New Orleans.
