Tragic Demise of Former Miss Ecuador Candidate and Social Communicator in Connection with Corruption and Drug Trafficking Investigation.

Tragically, former Miss Ecuador candidate Landy Párraga Goyburo lost her life on Sunday, April 28 at the age of 23 while dining at a restaurant in a shopping center in Quevedo. The crime was captured on video and identified Párraga as a social communicator.

Párraga had been connected to an ongoing investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office into corruption and drug trafficking within State institutions. She had reportedly come to the city for her friend’s wedding the night before she was killed.

The incident took place in the La Cuadra sector of Quevedo and video footage shows two gunmen entering the restaurant and shooting Párraga multiple times even after she fell to the ground. The Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the case and is taking necessary steps to identify those responsible.

Prior to her death, Párraga had been mentioned in conversations between drug trafficker Leandro Norero and his lawyer which were part of the Metastasis Case investigating corruption and drug trafficking connections. Her name appeared in various conversations between Norero and others involved in illegal activities, indicating her involvement with the criminal network.
