According to Lexie Staten, Dean of the School of Health Sciences, this program focuses on examining and improving the health of both the planet and its inhabitants. It is crucial to train professionals who can collect, analyze, and interpret data related to the environment and the impact of human activities on it.
The degree program provides students with hands-on fieldwork and research projects, preparing them for careers as environmental scientists, conservation scientists, environmental educators, lawyers, environmental policy analysts or environmental health and safety specialists.
