Trump pledges to rescue auto industry and addresses economic decay at Michigan rally

During a campaign rally in Michigan’s Saginaw County, former President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on the legal system, Chinese car companies, and President Joe Biden. Trump accused the legal system of trying to silence voters by silencing him as a candidate.

At the rally in Freeland, Michigan, Trump attacked Biden’s policies, claiming that they were harming the U.S. economy and causing American cities to decay, particularly those run by Democrats. Trump expressed his desire to work with Democrats to rebuild cities but criticized the state of cities like Detroit, claiming that they were crime-ridden and falling apart.

Trump also denounced the legal actions against him as politically motivated and stated that the American people will ultimately find Joe Biden guilty of trying to destroy the country. Additionally, Trump repeated false claims of ballot fraud in Detroit during the 2020 election and promised to save Michigan’s auto industry by avoiding electric vehicles and heavily taxing cars made by Chinese companies.

The rally was an opportunity for Trump to connect with his supporters and rally against his perceived enemies, including Biden and the legal system. Despite recent events such as the successful NFL draft event in Detroit with no incidents, Trump did not acknowledge this progress and instead continued to paint Detroit as a crime-ridden city in decline.
