UNM Anderson School Sales Students Shine in Largest Sales Competition Worldwide, Thanks to AI-Powered Training Tool

In the recent virtual RNMRKS international role-play sales competition held on April 10-11, UNM Anderson School sales students shone brightly. Eddie Acosta, Andrew Salazar, and AJ Dille secured second, fourth, and fifth place respectively. This competition is known as the largest sales competition worldwide, with over 1,000 students from 47 universities participating. The scoring system awards points, with a perfect score being 10,000. Acosta received 9,589; Salazar received 9,571; Dille received 9,542.

Associate Professor Dimitri Kapelianis expressed pride in the students’ performance and highlighted the consistent success of Anderson sales students in this competition. He emphasized the talent and dedication present within the program. The RNMKRS app played a significant role in their success as it provided dynamic simulations that directly impacted their performance. The app was developed by selling professionals and features an artificially intelligent customer bot named Alex Taylor who guides students through key concepts and provides immediate feedback.

Acosta attributed his success to active preparation and continuous improvement through practice. He thanked his professors for their support and guidance in mastering key sales concepts. Salazar also acknowledged the impact of practice on his success and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase his abilities. The RNMKRS app was instrumental in helping these students hone their skills by providing them with valuable experience in core selling steps such as introduction, discovery, presentation, objections and concerns, and closing.
