Cast Your Vote for the Upstate’s Female Athlete of the Week

The top female high school athletes from Upstate South Carolina for the week of April 22-28 have been announced. These athletes, listed in alphabetical order, are vying for your vote in this week’s poll. Polls will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and multiple votes are allowed.

Autumn Burrell of Hillcrest High School won the 100 meters (12.65) and the 200 meters (25.05) at the Greenville County track and field championships.

Nia Glover of Spartanburg High School broke a two-decades-old Spartanburg County championship record in the 400 meters with a time of 56.74.

Meg Griffin of Belton-Honea Path High School went 7-for-7 in two softball games with a home run and five steals.

Sydney Price of Landrum High School was 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs while also pitching a complete game in a 3-2 softball win against Blacksburg High School.

Addison Sharp of T.L. Hanna High School pitched two shutouts in softball with 22 strikeouts as the Yellow Jackets beat Dorman and Westside, both 3-0.
