In light of recent discussions with World Athletics and the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships Local Organizing Committee (LOC), USATF has received confirmation that adequate safety measures will be put in place at the event. As a result, Team USA will be sent to compete in the Championships, which will take place from August 26-31, 2024, in Lima, Peru.
The safety and well-being of USATF athletes, coaches, managers, and staff remain a top priority for the organization. To ensure everyone’s safety, USATF will maintain open communication with all relevant stakeholders. The organization is committed to providing its athletes with the best competitive opportunities as they work towards success.
Following the USATF Under-20 Championships, scheduled for June 12-13, 2024, in Eugene, Oregon, a full team announcement will be made.
