UVA Health, a healthcare provider based in Charlottesville, Virginia, has announced its plans to acquire Piedmont Family Practice in Warrenton, Virginia. The two parties have finalized a purchase sale agreement and anticipate that the transaction will be completed by the summer, as per a UVA Health news release issued on May 7.
Piedmont Family Practice is home to a team of 90 employees, including seven physicians, 17 advanced practice providers, a registered dietitian, and a certified diabetic educator. Upon the completion of the acquisition, all current employees at the practice will remain employed under UVA Health ownership.
The practice offers three core clinical services: Piedmont Family Practice, which provides a range of general health services, diabetes counseling, in-office surgery, women’s health, and pediatrics; Piedmont Urgent Care, which offers services such as COVID-19 testing, lab testing, and general urgent-care services; and The Bariatric and Metabolic Weight Loss Center, which offers various weight maintenance
