Verlon Johnson of Acentra Health Appointed Chair of Medicaid and CHIP Payment Access Commission

Todd Stottlemyer, CEO of Acentra Health, expressed his admiration for Verlon Johnson’s appointment as the chair of the Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC) by the Government Accountability Office. This appointment comes in addition to her reappointment for a second consecutive 3-year term as a MACPAC commissioner. Johnson was recognized for her extensive experience in both public and private sector healthcare over the past three decades.

Verlon Johnson is known as a nationally recognized expert in government healthcare programs, having previously served in federal positions before joining Acentra Health. As the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Acentra Health, she oversees the company’s growth strategy, including organic growth and acquisitions. Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.) praised Johnson’s contributions as a MACPAC Commissioner, noting that they have been valuable to Congress in addressing issues related to Medicaid and CHIP.
